Bucharest, Romania

Trip here involved 3 flights and 7 time zones...bit tuckerd out by the time we arrived, but
everything went fine schedule-wise.

After a short nap, we set out to explore Old Town Bucharest....lots of interesting
architecture...ornate stone work and ornate iron work on gates. Lots of old and new
mixed together...in fact, one ultra modern building was built on top of a "classic"
older one. And, people sitting outdoors in cafes and beer and wine gardens....
weather is above average @ mid 80's and sunny. After strolling for and hour and a half, we went to ooh La Mama (?) at the suggestion of tour rep and Mike , Mary Ann and Pat who were here last year. Excellent schnitzel,
real mashed potatoes, beer selection and even dessert! Perfect eve for sitting outdoors
and watching the world stroll by.
Stopped to buy bottled water ( we were warned not to drink the water) and wine- all
in the same street front store. Gotta love it! And, the price is sure right!
That's all for now....glass of vino and early to bed.
